Description:
The Rural Municipality of Big River No. 555 is inviting tenders from qualified contractors to provide solid waste management and recycling services. The services will include the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste and recyclable materials from designated bins located within the municipality. Waste Collection: The contractor will provide waste collection services for a total of twenty (20) 6-yard waste bins. Waste must be collected on a scheduled basis as agreed upon (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly, etc.). Recycling Collection: The contractor will provide recycling collection services for a total of seven (7) 6-yard recycle bins. Recycling must be collected on a scheduled basis as agreed upon (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly, etc.). The contractor must be registered and in good standing with Multi-Material Stewardship Western (MMSW), and must ensure that recyclable materials are processed in accordance with MMSW guidelines and requirements. Transportation and Disposal: The contractor will be responsible for the transportation of collected waste and recyclables to a designated landfill or recycling facility. Equipment and Vehicles: The contractor must provide all necessary vehicles and equipment to efficiently perform the required services. Vehicles used for collection must be suitable for rural roads and equipped to handle 6-yard waste and recycle bins. Disposal Fees and Compliance: The contractor must comply with all relevant federal and provincial laws regarding waste disposal and recycling. The contractor must be able to provide documentation regarding the disposal of waste and recyclables, including compliance with any applicable environmental regulations.
