These changes will contribute to the social and sustainability goals of the City, while continuing to deliver the best overall value to tax payers. The City is inviting the vendor community to attend one of two information sessions on Thursday, May 11 for a presentation on the new social procurement initiative followed by an opportunity for participants to ask questions and provide feedback. Two information sessions will be offered, taking place in Council Chambers at City Hall from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. An option to participate virtually will also be provided. Common Council has expressed an interest in adopting Social Procurement practices in an effort to achieve overall best value for the community.
