Description:
York Region District School Board is seeking Proposals for Snowplowing and Salting Services. The objective of this proposal is to establish partnerships with Contractors for Snowplowing and Salting Services on an as-required basis. The Board is requiring a flat-rate seasonal arrangement, with plowing and salting/sanding performed in accordance with the guidelines stipulated in this Request for Proposal.
York Region District School Board expects the associated work shall be carried out in a safe and efficient manner with a minimum of disruption to the normal activities of the facilities. This partnership will allow the Board to ensure that we are purchasing quality service at a competitive price, while improving management reporting and reducing material and administrative costs.
The Board spends approximately $4,000,000.00 per year for Snowplowing and Salting Services. This is an estimate only and should not be construed as a guarantee; rather it is shown to provide an indication of the potential of this Contract.
There are approximately 235 locations in the York Region District School Board. For the purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP), the Board has been divided into (30) thirty geographical areas. Contractors do not have to bid on all areas but must provide a complete bid on an area.
