Summary Details:
The Corporation of the District of Summerland (the “District”) and the Corporation of the City of Penticton (“City”) are requesting information from prospective suppliers of smart on board truck technology for automated waste contamination auditing.
The District and the City are interested in an automated waste contamination auditing program that contains the following elements, but are willing to consider any similar technology and/or services that are found to decrease contamination in curbside collected materials:Cameras within the vehicle that monitor contamination;Automated tracking of contamination;Georeferencing, RFID tag tracking and/or serial number tracking allowing for the District/City to determine where the contamination was found;Database management of contamination reports and associated data;Production of contamination notice mailouts to identified residential homes;Mailing of contamination notices.Please refer to the RFI documents for more information.
