Summary Details:
Notice is hereby given by the City of Burnaby of its intent to contract with RELIANCE FOUNDRY CO. LTD. for the provision of supplying a smart anti-loitering and security system for a pilot study.
The estimated total amount of this contract is $125,750 CDN plus applicable taxes.
The City of Burnaby did not call for competitive proposals for the following reasons:
- The City intends to research different methods to enhance public safety with smart anti-loitering and security devices;
- The City requires these devices to be geo-spatially located and send real-time electronic status alerts to City Staff;
- The City has researched and determined that the hardware and technology for this application is suitable for the City's pilot program; and
- It is the City's understanding that the hardware and technology platform for this application is the only standalone product available in the marketplace.
Companies wishing to object to this decision should EMAIL a letter of objection presenting specific reasons for their objection by 3:00 p.m., local time, July 27, 2021.
