Tender are invited for While Alberta and Saskatchewan currently have limited nuclear supply chain capabilities, both provinces have strong industrial bases that could adapt to emerging SMR opportunities. There is potential for Alberta and Saskatchewan to leverage their respective industrial sectors to participate in a pan-Canadian SMR supply chain, and diversify into new markets. This can include sectors such as advanced manufacturing (e.g. - in welding/joining and complex industrial products), machining of custom metals, new resource extraction systems, fuel enrichment and fabrication in Saskatchewan (associated with the existing natural uranium fuel supply chain), engineering, industrial construction and transportation, and installation firms.
