Description:
The BC Wildfire Service is seeking a consultant to advance the redevelopment of the Skeena Fire Attack Base, which has outgrown its existing facilities due to sustained increases in staffing, operational activity, and year-round usage. The project will build on conceptual plans already prepared and move the site into detailed design and procurement readiness. The successful proponent will be responsible for conducting site investigations, preparing a preliminary site layout, and producing engineered Issued for Tender (IFT) drawings to support the procurement of site preparations and modular building installation for the new development and expansion. The consultant will also assist with tender package development, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the tender period, and provide pricing for optional consulting services during the subsequent installation phase a of this project. The contract may be extended for up to two additional one-year terms to support construction oversight and engineering services, if required. The outcome of this phase will inform future design and development, ultimately leading to the installation of a new modular building(s) to support BCWS staff and crews with a safe, efficient, and purpose-built working environment.
