- The University of Calgary intends to purchase the Viewsizer 3000 w/fluorescence and kinetics from Spectra Research Corporation. In the lab-s opinion this is the best suited instrument for the research involving the characterization of size and concentration of: 1) nano- and micro- bubbles (of different gases) in water solutions and 2) fluorescent nano- and micro-particles. The lab-s water samples contain both nano and micro-bubbles and the bubble size has a significant influence on the chemistry of the sample. We require an instrument that can quantify a wide size range and that can detect particles that fluorescence. To the university-s knowledge, Spectra Research is the sole distributor for the Horiba Viewsizer 3000.
