Project Description : b) Project Objectives- The objective of this project is to hand harvest Silver Sagebrush (Artemisia cana) seed in the Manyberries, AB area of the Province. Locations have been identified near the town site with abundant local seed. The seed harvesting is to be done by hand using a stripping method into breathable storage sacks. Services will include the harvest and transport of all seed to the AEP Medicine Hat warehouse. Seed will be dried and stored by AEP staff at this location. Timing is important, with most harvesting typically done at the end of October/early November. All seed should be harvested no later than November 30th to ensure the harvest window is not missed for 2022.
