Description:
The Township of Woolwich seeks to retain a Contractor to remove vertical discontinuities in concrete sidewalk by method of horizontal saw cutting. Township staff have identified various locations within the Township, including the settlements of Breslau, Elmira, and St. Jacobs, that require sidewalk trip hazard removal. These locations include boulevard sidewalks, curb face sidewalks and sidewalks adjacent to asphalt and concrete driveways. The majority of sidewalk is 1.2m to 1.5m wide.
The project consists of two components; the physical removal of sidewalk trip hazards, and a written summary report. The physical removal of sidewalk trip hazards must be completed in its entirety by November 28, 2025, and the schedule of reporting shall be as follows:
Draft version of the to be submitted by December 5th, 2025
Township to review draft report and provide comments to Contractor by December 19th, 2026
Final version of the report to be submitted by January 16, 2026.
