- Description:
- The remediation work as the site will include grubbing, debris removal, stripping and stockpiling of soil and/or sand fill from the ground surface, excavation of approximately 80,000 cubic meters of non-hazardous contaminated soil including some buried debris, treatment and/or disposal of approximately 10,000 cubic meters of acidic groundwater, backfilling all excavated areas with clean fill, and revegetation and wetland restoration. Contaminants of concern primarily include metals, sulphate, pH, and PHC. Excavated soils will be transported to an off-site landfill for disposal.The specifications package ad supporting documents for the remediation, which is provided as an attachment to this RFP, provide additional detailed information regarding project scope and required services. The anticipated remediation schedule is two years starting in Spring 2026.Ontario First Nation Technical Services Corporation is posting this tender on behalf of Serpent River First Nation and the Project team. As per disclaimer OFNTSC has no involvement in the project beyond the administrative posting of this tender.
