Description:
This project will provide Career and Employment Information Services (CEIS) for immigrant Clients in Calgary and area. The Government of Alberta (GoA) Ministry of Seniors, Community and Social Services (SCSS) is committed to supporting immigrant Clients and has developed Services designed to support them to find meaningful employment. These Services include a Resource Centre, Assessments, Workshops, Delivery Events, Job Placement and Exposure Courses. These Services provide information to Albertans to understand the labour market, to make informed career decisions, develop realistic education, training and employment plans and to prepare for, find, and maintain work. Clients are connected directly with hiring employers and are provided assistance to secure available jobs. The Province helps unemployed people find and keep jobs in their communities, and helps employers meet their need for skilled workers. Employment is one of the primary measures of success under the RFP.
