Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. 2. Definition of the requirement The Seg-Flow S3 is an automated sampling system that is connected to bioreactors to take samples and deliver them to a metabolite analyzer and a cell counter. This device makes it possible to collect as many samples as needed at any time, so an employee does not need to be present all day. Our requirements in terms of numbers of samples are not consistent and vary between 10 and 100 per day. This system-s segmented sampling technology is more suitable as it does not waste reagent. This technology increases production capacity and significantly reduces operating costs.
