Description:
This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the City of Port Colborne (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Security Guard Services for the 47th Annual Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival, as further described in the RFP documentation.
Canal Days is a 4 day festival with a live concert series and a street festival component. The City is looking to hire two (2) separate security firms, one to focus on the concert series and one to focus on the Street festival component.
The term of the agreement is for a period of one (1) year, with an option in favour of the City to extend the Contract on the same terms and conditions for four (4) additional one-year periods. Approval of the further term(s) will depend on the satisfaction of performance by the successful Proponent with the City and price increases (if any). In any year where a price adjustment is contemplated, the adjustment should not exceed the average annual increase in the Consumer Price Index for Ontario, as published by Statistics Canada over the 12-month period immediately preceding the date of renewal. In the event an agreement cannot be reached the agreement will terminate at the end of the one (1) year period.
