Detailed_Description : The Ontario Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement (“MPBSDP”) wishes to notify the vendor community of a possible upcoming Request for Bids (“RFB”) for the delivery of Secured Transportation Services for MPBSDP-s Public ServiceOntario centres. This notice also includes some of the details of the proposed scope and process for the RFB as contemplated at this stage. Such details are subject to change.The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement is initiating an open-competitive multi-lot procurement process to onboard vendor(s) for secured transportation services and cash deposit solution (Smart Safe) across Ontario. This is to ensure secure cash storage at designated ServiceOntario centres and safe and efficient transportation of cash from ServiceOntario centres to designated banking institutions. This procurement aims to enhance the security and operational efficiency of cash handling processes within ServiceOntario centres.
Scope of Work : This procurement is seeking vendors to provide secured transportation services or a cash deposit (or “Smart Safe”) solution for the secure transfer of cash, cheques, securities, and other items in securely sealed bags from the Ministry-s offices across four geographical regions in Ontario. Each selected vendor will be responsible for delivering services in their assigned region(s) in accordance with the Ministry-s security protocols and operational requirements. •The secured transportation services involve the physical pickup and delivery of securely sealed bags to designated financial institutions.•The Smart Safe solution must provide the Ministry with credit into its bank account either on the same day or the next business day. Full implementation of the selected solution must be completed by October 2025 to ensure uninterrupted service continuity and maintain compliance of cash handling operations. The selected vendor(s) will be responsible for ensuring a seamless transition from current operations and integration their solutions in alignment with ministry security and operational requirements set forth.
