A mandatory pre-bid site tour is scheduled for May 8, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM Local Time at 3050 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1P 2V5. Bidders be represented at this meeting.

This portal contains the Instructions to Bidders and Bid Forms for the expansion of the existing dialysis capacity at SHN to meet the needs of chronic kidney disease patients who require dialysis. Technical documents form an integral part of this RFT process and are distributed with the RFT Documents. Please refer to Appendix 3 - Technical Documents.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This project will expand the existing dialysis services at the SHN General Site to enable access to dialysis for patients in need and in alignment with the current SHN strategic plan and increase the dialysis capacity in the Scarborough community to meet the needs of chronic kidney disease patients who require dialysis.

The newly renovated unit is to be co-located beside the existing hemodialysis centre in the Crockford Wing. The new unit will address IPAC concerns, improve patient safety, and realize staffing and operational efficiencies.

As the existing ramp to the West Wing is prohibitive from a workflow perspective, isolation stations will be constructed in the existing Crockford Wing, and non-isolation stations will be displaced to the West Wing shell space to create the most optimal configuration from a workflow and patient safety perspective.
