Description:
Saugeen First Nation (SFN) is a First Nation band located along the Saugeen River and Bruce Peninsula in the Province of Ontario. Saugeen Driftwood Corporation (SDC) is an internet service provider wholly owned by SFN. SDC is expanding its network within SFN's reserve with the assistance of funding provided by SWIFT and the Province of Ontario and is seeking quotes from qualified Applicants interested in providing design only services or design and construction services to the Project. The Project will include the design of the expanded area and the complete construction of the Project. The Applicant may choose to provide a Quote on the design only or both the design and the construction of the Project. Preference will be given to Applicants who can complete the Project by no later than December 31, 2025. Turn-key completion of the Project is preferred by SFN.The scope of work includes but is not limited to: provide wireline Broadband Service available to 1,375 premises. "Broadband Service" means internet access service that meets or exceeds data transfer speeds of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload without a data capacity limit in downloaded or uploaded data; provide Broadband Service available to 1,361 First Nations premises in the First Nations communities of Chief's Point First Nation #28 and Saugeen First Nation #29.Remaining requirements can be found in the Saugeen Fibre Technology Project Terms of Reference, attached.
