The Corporation of the District of North Vancouver (the Owner) invites tenders for ITT.026.21, Sarita Pump Station Electrical Upgrade Construction. The pump station is located at Sarita Place and Sarita Avenue in North Vancouver. The upgrade is required to accommodate BC Hydro's voltage conversion project from 12.5 kV to 25 kV.
Sarita Pump Station has four (4) multi-stage vertical turbine pumps with suction manifold connected to the Metro Vancouver's Sarita reservoir, and Metro Vancouver's Prospect Ave Mains #1 and #2. The pump station supplies water to Skyline reservoir and pressure zone P2.
The existing electrical components include indoor unit substation, incoming cable section, 15kV fused load break switch, BC Hydro primary metering, 12.5kV x 480V District-owned transformer and 480V Motor Control Centre.
The scope of the works involves the following:
- Mobilization, demobilization and traffic management;
- Environmental management, tree protection and preservation, and arborist oversight while trenching new trees;
