- The City of Port Alberni is looking to offer, for sale-by-bid, opportunities to repurpose the rink boards and Lexan panels salvaged from the Alberni Valley Multiplex. When City-owned equipment reaches the end of its initial purpose the City will work to find additional life or value for that equipmentwhere possible. There are several options to fulfill this: • Obtain credit for trade-in value upon replacement of the equipment • Find a different purpose or department for the equipment to be used within City operations • Sell as surplus equipment in a sale-by-bid publicprocess
