Forests - Fire Suppression

Summary Details:
Procurement Services Branch, on behalf of the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations, and Rural Development, invites responses from Respondents to provide Wildfire Infrared Scanning Services using a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), also known as a drone or an unmanned aerial vehicle, to BC Wildfire Service, a branch within the Ministry, on an as, if and when requested basis.
The RPAS Wildfire Infrared Scanning Services include the provision of Scanning Crews, equipment (e.g., the RPAS and scanning equipment) and mapping services as further described in Sections 3 and 5 of the RSA and Appendix A Schedules A1, A2, and A3.
The mapping services will include:
- Infrared (IR) hotspot and heat detection, and perimeter mapping,
- Global Positioning System (GPS), and
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS);
all as further described in Appendix A Schedule A2.
RPAS Wildfire Infrared Scanning Services will be conducted using RPAS, and no other aviation platforms will be considered.
