Description:
The primary objective of this assignment is to replace all the existing pumps in the drywell and to upgrade ventilation system at the station. These proposed upgrades at the station will increase the reliability of the station. The new pumps shall be selected from the list of approved vendors in the Halifax Water specifications. The purpose of receiving quotations in accordance with these documents is to permit examination of a variety of equipment on a comparable basis in order to select the equipment best fulfilling Halifax Water's specifications. The supplier will furnish goods and special services for procuring pumping equipment for Halifax Water-s Rosewood Avenue Pump Station Upgrade, in Timberlea, Nova Scotia (the “Site”). The pumping equipment shall be in accordance with the technical specifications defined in Appendix E - Technical Specifications in the RFQ document. Halifax Water wishes to first pre-select pumps to allow the Consultant to complete a detailed design for the Rosewood Avenue Pump Station Upgrade, and then to allow Halifax Water to proceed with the selection of a Contractor to proceed with the upgrade, using the pre-selected equipment, which will be furnished by the selected supplier of this procurement.
