Description:
1. The project involves the installation of both a new 150mm water main and new storm sewer system in Grand Falls-Windsor. This work will also include the removal of existing infrastructure, upgrades to other portions of the system, and the tying of new water main to existing infrastructure. The workwill extend services for future lots. The new water main and storm sewer installation will require careful coordination due to the proximity of an existing asbestos sanitary sewer at the 0+118 location. 2. It will be necessary to excavate on private property and closure of some roads. The Town requiresthat all work be carried out with care, clear communication, and respect for residents. All properties must be restored to their original condition or better upon completion. 3. The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor expects to award the contract in summer 2025, with all work to be completed within thatseason. As paving is not included in this contract, the successful contractor must work cooperatively and coordinate at all times with the paving contractor to ensure timely and efficient project completion within the pavingseason.
