Project Description : Riverboat Park Playground ReplacementTOWN OF WHITECOURT, ALBERTA REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - FALL PROTECTION, BORDER, INSTALL, AND EQUIPMENTINTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUNDThe Town of Whitecourt Alberta, a community of 10,204 people located 180 km northwest of Edmonton, has identified the need for playground and swing set replacement at Riverboat Park. As a result of community growth and long-term planning, the Town of Whitecourt has a 20-year replacement plan for playgrounds, replacing one playground annually and supplementing other parks spaces on an as needed basis. SERVICES REQUIREDThe Playground Replacement will include:a. Fall Protectionb. Borderc. Provision and install of equipment geared towards children aged 5-12 years with a few early childhood components.*Existing equipment will be removed by Town of Whitecourt prior to install date. The Swing Set may include:a. Provision and install of one swing set with one regular swing and one toddler swing and fall protection or interesting alternative at Riverboat Park Playground and fall protection.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONTo assist with the project, the following information will be made available to the consulting team:1. Dimensions of current primary Riverboat Park Playground Structure area: 12 m X 21.5 m. See attached photos.2. This playground will be installed near the river.
