Description:
Procure a qualified environmental consultant to complete a thorough assessment of fuel load currently residing in the Lethbridge River valley parks system. Assessment will highlight areas of high risk, mitigation strategies to reduce wildfire risk, and monitoring protocols. Priority areas that willbe assessed as part of this feasibility study include the area around the Helen Schuler Nature Centre (Lethbridge Nature Reserve) and Fort Whoop-Up (Indian Battle Park), Botterill Bottom Park, Peenaquim Park, and recreation sites (Pavan Park, Bull Trail Park, Elizabeth Hall Wetlands, Alexander WildernessPark, Popson Park, Sixmile Coulee and Cottonwood Park).
