Description:
Project Overview:Conservation Halton - Glen Eden is planning to modernize and enhance the on-hillexperience through the replacement of one of the site-s three (3) chairlifts. As part of itscapital project strategy, the Ridge Lift - located centrally on the hill - has been identifiedfor replacement. The existing lift is a fixed-grip quad that has reached the end of itspractical service life and replacement will significantly improve reliability, capacity, andoverall guest experience.Due to the age of the current lift, many components are obsolete or discontinued,creating ongoing challenges in sourcing replacement parts and maintaining operationalreliability. Continuing operation would require costly upgrades and alterations to anaging system, which would remain subject to mandatory Aging Lift Assessments(Audits) every 5 years.Installation of a new lift will incorporate modern, readily available components,improving maintainability and long-term operational efficiency. In addition, a new life willnot require an Aging Lift Assessment would not be due until it-s twentieth (20th) year ofoperation, reducing regulatory burden and lifecycle costs.The project scope, content of proposal, and vendor selection process are summarizedin this RFP.
