Description:
The La Verendrye Hospital Pharmacy Redevelopment project, located in Fort Frances, Ontario,involves the extensive renovation of office spaces on the 3rd floor of the facility to relocate theirpharmacy program, including modifications to existing door and window openings,modifications of the existing roof structure and the demolition of partition walls. New rooms tobe constructed will be of steel construction and are to receive new floor finishes, ceiling,lighting, millwork, equipment, and paint.Structural work consists of repairs to the roof deck and structural walls affected by demolitionand construction. Existing mechanical and electrical systems are being expanded to service therenovated areas complete with new rooftop air unit on the roof for servicing the Pharmacy areadirectly below. Plumbing fixtures and equipment are included to suite the new layout.The facility contains asbestos. There is a significant probability of asbestos being present in thewall plaster, flooring finishes, and ceiling finishes.
