Description:
TRCA on behalf of the City of Brampton is proposing to conduct maintenance dredging works within two conveyance channels of approximately 2500 metre (m) in total length associated with Salt Creek north of Countryside Drive, east of Goreway Drive and west of McVean drive. The watercourses and drainage features within Project Location in which dredging works are proposed are tributaries to Salt Creek. Lands surrounding the Project Location are predominantly residential properties with agricultural fields found at the downstream/southern extent.
The aim of the project involves the dredging and return of the channels to as-built conditions within the project area. This includes removing all built-up sediment and vegetation (phragmites, cattails, etc.) and dredging the drainage swale to improve conveyance.
