- The Rural Municipality of Gimli is accepting bid submissions for the replacement of the ice plant condenser at the Gimli Recreation Centre. The Gimli Recreation Centre operates an ammonia ice plant that holds three compressors running at 60 tons each, that provides service to two ice pads. The RM ofGimli received funding from the Arts, Culture and Sport in Communities Program through the Province of Manitoba to update the ice plant. The current condenser is near end-of-life, so the replacement is the next step to ensure longevity of the total plant and to not affectoperating.
