Description:
This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by the Cowichan Valley Regional District (the “CVRD”) to prospective respondents to qualify in accordance with Evaluation of Responses (Part 2) for eligibility to provide General Contractor for Structural and Civil Construction of a Waste Transfer Building at Bings Creek, as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The objective of this process is to compile a list of General Contractors who meet the qualifications outlined in the RFSQ, who will be invited to tender to perform general contracting services to: • construct a new organic waste transfer station for the consolidation and temporary storage of curbside collected waste materials (‘Organics Building-); • expand the capacity of an existing modular household hazardous waste building by adding two additional storage bays (‘HHW Building-); • remove and replace the roof of the existing garbage transfer building (MSW Building-); • pave a gravel service road and surfaces around the Organics Building; • install culverts and oil-water separator(s) to improve the management of stormwater. All works will be located at the Bings Creek Recycling Centre at 3900 Drinkwater Road in Duncan, BC (the “Project”). This is a grant-funded project with a set budget.
