Engineering Support Services

This Request for Proposal identifies a business opportunity for inclusion on BC Ferries- Approved Contractor List to deliver engineering support services for any or all of the following disciplines:

• Naval Architecture
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical and Controls Engineering
• Supportability
• Outfitting

The services will be used to support Fleet Technical, Shipbuilding, Fleet PMO and Engineering on various projects on an as needed basis. Some of the notable projects that may need support include Island Class Phase III, the New Major Vessel, Bayne Sound Connector Refit, Salish Class Upgrades, and many others.
The Master Service Agreement will outline a general fee structure, and list of capabilities and services with the qualified organizations. No specific scope of work agreement will result directly out of this initiative; instead, BC Ferries will reference the resulting shortlist, and contact qualified organizations as appropriate opportunities arise. Said requirements may still be administered under a separate Tender process.
