Description : Elections Ontario is procuring physical barriers for the 2022 General Election as a public health measure to protect both EO staff and electors. The Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) has recommended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other measures to reduce the transmissibility of COVID-19. Physical barriers are used to reduce aerosol transmission of COVID-19 in situations where physical distancing cannot be maintained while COVID-19 is still a concern, and physical barriers meet the requirements set out by the CMOH for eye protection. They will be used in conjunction with masks at all locations where EO staff interact with the public and cannot maintain physical distancing (voting locations, etc.). The objective of this RFQ is to solicit proposals from Proponents to provide EO with 28,986 custom freestanding clear physical barriers for our 2022 General Election and deliver them by February 11, 2022. The duration of the contract to be entered into between the CEO and successful Proponent(s) will be for a period of four (4) years, with an option in favour of Elections Ontario to extend the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional three (3), one (1) year terms.
