Description:
The Municipal District of Taber (MD) is seeking competitive quotations from general contractors to perform the construction for the BF 79971 Bridge Overlay, which is located North of Taber, AB on Rge Rd 17-1 between Twp Rd 14-0 and 13-4. Scope of Services The work includes but not limited to “Asphalt Bridge Overlay”. • Mill butt joints 10m from abutment joints to ensure smooth transition. • Thoroughly clean bride deck surface prior to overlay commencement. • Supply and Place 300mm wide membrane reinforcing Fabric over girder joints - Petro-Tac 4591 Self Adhesive Paving Membrane, or an approved equivalent. • Supply and Install minimum 50 mm depth Type III (City of Lethbridge spec or equivalent) ACP (including tack coat). The bridge dimensions are approximately 34.5m long by 8.4m, an additional 10m each side of the bridge • Install a Beram joint at each bridge abutment joint acceptable products include, or an approved equivalent: o ASPH-13, HC200 Husky, W.R. Meadows o Deery 3723 crack sealant o Plastasphalt • Provide line painting on new overlay to Alberta TEC specifications. • Successful contractor will be responsible for submitting a traffic accommodation strategy including signage and flagging if necessary. The bridge should always have one lane open during the construction of this project.
