Description:
This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the County of Northumberland (the “County”) to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for Burnley Bridge Replacement , as further described in the bid documents.
The Successful Bidder shall provide all labour, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to complete the work as described in the Annex A - Special Provisions, Annex B - Construction Drawings, Annex C - Geotechnical Investigation Report, Annex D - Excess Soil Characterization Report, Annex E - Lower Trent Conservation Authority Permit, and Annex F - DFO Letter of Advice which have been provided as separate attachments in the online bidding system.
The County of Northumberland is seeking quotations for the replacement of the Burnley Bridge, located in Burnley, Ontario on County Road 29, approximately 0.18 km south of Noonan Road. The existing bridge is a single lane concrete rigid frame that was constructed circa 1950.
The proposed scope of work is anticipated to include the following:• Complete removal of existing bridge via a road closure with a detour in place for the duration of construction• Installation of new two-lane precast concrete rigid frame bridge with a concrete distribution slab• Installation of steel thrie beam guide rail on the bridge and steel beam guide rail the bridge approaches• Reconstruction of the bridge approaches as required
