Description:
Through this Request for Pre-Qualification (“RFPQ”), Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (“TRCA”) will pre-qualify General Contractors for natural channel, erosion control, slope stabilization, infrastructure construction and protection works (herein referred to as ‘the Project-). This RFPQ is a formal request for submissions from interested Contractors. Contractors responding to this RFPQ must be able to demonstrate expertise and experiences for Scope of Work described in more detail in the Part 5 - Scope of Work.
The TRCA anticipates issuing approximately five (5) Requests for Tenders (RFTs) annually during the term of the pre-qualification where only pre-qualified Contractors under this RFPQ will be eligible to submit a Bid. Each RFT will include at minimum, the scope of work from one of the four (4) categories listed in Section 2. Project Categories, and may in some cases include scopes from multiple categories.
As TRCA may be retained by its municipal partners, other levels of government and organizations, as an independent contractor, for some projects, Bidders who are currently suspended or disqualified from entering contracts with the funding organization, or are otherwise ineligible due to non-compliance with applicable policies or by-laws, will be ineligible to be awarded a contract by TRCA. The funding organization, if applicable, will be stated in each RFT.
