- Efficiency Manitoba is prequalifying Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) contractors throughout Manitoba to support our Energy Efficiency Assistance Program (EEAP) and Métis Energy Efficiency Offers (MEEO) for a minimum three-year term.The EEAP and MEEO programs help qualifying low-to-moderate income households in Manitoba reduce their energy bills and increase the comfort of their homes by offering free or subsidized energy efficiency upgrades.The MEEO program is delivered in partnership with the Manitoba Métis Federation and serves Red River Métis citizens. The program is supported by Métis contractors registered with the Louis Riel Capital Corporation.Customers that participate in the EEAP and MEEO programs will receive a home energy check-up to determine what energy efficiency upgrades their home is eligible for, including an ASHP. Eligible customers will be provided a list of pre-qualified ASHP contractors in Regions throughout Manitoba. An eligible customer will qualify for either a centrally ducted cold climate air source heat pump system or a ductless split cold climate air source heat pump system: Centrally Ducted System: A customer with an electrically heated home with existing central ductwork. Ductless Split System: A home with electric baseboard heat and no central ductwork infrastructure.
