- The NTPC intends to replace the existing diesel power generation in Fort Simpson with liquefied natural gas (LNG) power generation to achieve both potential cost savings and reduction in greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions. Construction of a new LNG/diesel power station is planned. The power station facility will be the primary source of electrical power for the community with the existing diesel generation facility being decommissioned.The NTPC is seeking supply and delivery of electrical power system equipment required for the construction of the new LNG/Diesel plant. The package includes transformers, switchgear, battery banks and chargers, protection and control panels.
