Tender are invited for RFP - Stationary Compost Mixer

Summary Details:
Subject to the receipt of an acceptable proposal, the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary may purchase one (1) new stationary compost mixer for use at The Grand Forks Regional Landfill Composting Facility.
The Compost Mixer offered under this Proposal must be new and meet or exceed the specifications. These specifications are minimum requirements governing the size and type of machine to be supplied.
The compost mixer shall be housed under cover in a semi-indoor environment without heat and is required to perform the following functions:
· Mixing of source separated (curbside collected) organics with chipped wood and yard waste;
· Mixing of municipal sewage treatment plant sludge with chipped wood waste;
· Operate in temperature ranges of -25oC in winter and +40oC in summer;
· Load from the top using a wheeled loader with a bucket (width of 2.92m and 4 m3 capacity);
· Top of loading hoper not to exceed 2.7 m;
· Discharge mixed material from the bottom via a powered conveyor belt;
· Discharge at minimum height of 2.0 m;
· Discharge at a minimum length of 4.57 m;
· Be configured to fit into an installation space and conveyor to discharge mixed material in a specified location away from the mixer for easy loader access.
