- Tender are invited for RFP Social Master Plan Consultation Services
Project Description : It must give Council and Administration a map with which to focus municipal and other community services, programs, work plans, and projects effectively. The SMP will serve as the reasoned basis for committing tax revenue, other City resources, and the capacity of the Community Services Division through those venues toward outcomes that are measurable. The SMP will similarly guide existing and new integrations and partnerships between the municipality and many external collaborators.Proponents should note that the City is as interested in building on and developing community strengths and opportunities as well as addressing social service gaps and needs, in the interests of sustainability. The SMP must be more than just a response to a community needs assessment.At the highest level, the City of Lacombe's social planning aims are "a safe and viable community," "sustainability," and "collaboration." The SMP, when implemented, will attract new citizens and create a vibrant, engaging place to live where residents experience a strong sense of community and social well-being. Municipal decision-makers will have goals and action items to get there, in critical areas identified through consultation with citizens, businesses, organizations, and government.
