Description:
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following:3.1. Snow Removal Areas Driveways and Parking Lots: Full removal of snow and ice from all driveways, entrances, and parking lots, including visitor, resident, and staff parking areas. Sidewalks and Pathways: Clear all sidewalks, walkways, and accessible pathways leading to entrances, including emergency exits. Building Entrances: Keep all entrances clear of snow and ice, including ramps and stairways. Loading Docks and Service Areas: Ensure loading docks, service entrances, and delivery areas are accessible and safe.3.2. Snow and Ice Management Snow Removal: Snow must be removed once it reaches a depth of 5 cm (2 inches) or as requested by Maxville Manor. Ice Removal: Apply salt, sand, or an approved de-icing agent to prevent ice accumulation on all designated areas. Snow Relocation/Hauling: If snow piles become excessive, the contractor may be required to relocate or remove the snow from the premises.3.3. Response Time and Monitoring Snow removal must begin no later than 5:00 AM following a snowfall, or as requested based on weather conditions. The contractor must also provide 24/7 monitoring and be available for immediate service during heavy snowfall or emergencies.3.4. Materials The contractor must supply all materials required for snow and ice removal, including salt, sand, de-icing agents, and any necessary equipment.
