Summary Details:
The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is a biological nutrient removal (BNR) facility that receives and treats domestic wastewater flows from seasonally variable visitor loads, and discharges treated effluent to the Cheakamus River, sensitive freshwater habitats, and recreational waters.
The WWTP is equipped with four Secondary Clarifiers: two smaller clarifiers (SC401, SC402) each 16 m in diameter, and two larger clarifiers (SC403, SC404) each 22.5 m in diameter. Secondary clarifiers SC401 and SC402 combined have the same capacity as one large clarifier.
Secondary Clarifiers SC401, SC402 and SC404 were recently refurbished.
After a condition assessment in 2020, Secondary Clarifier SC403 electro-mechanical equipment was found to be reaching the end-of-life and showed significant corrosion and rusting of the steel components within the tank.
This RFP is for the supply of all internal components for the existing 22.5 m diameter concrete clarifier SC403, consisting of all required equipment, controls, appurtenances, and manufacturer's services as defined herein for a complete, fully functional and operational system. This RFP will be used to select a supplier based on a technical and financial evaluation.
