Description:
The primary objective of this RFP is to select a proponent to provide Colchester-East Hants Public Library with physical security at the Truro Library.We require one (1) trained professional uniformed officer per day, for our Truro Library.The weekly work schedule is as follows:-Monday/Thursday/Friday 10am-5:30pm-Tuesday/Wednesday 10am-8:30pm-Saturday 9:30am-5:30pmDuties may include but are not limited to:A.Perform opening and closing duties for the building.B.Conduct hourly patrols of the building.C.Monitor electronic security surveillance equipment, responding to any alarm notifications or unusual conditions in the system.D.Escort facility maintenance personnel or contractors throughout the building.E.Assist with property evacuation procedures.F.Inform Executive Director and Chief Librarian of any security concerns, and consult with library management on Library exclusions.G.Liaise with the Truro Police regarding issuing and enforcement of Property Protection Acts, etc.H.In close collaboration with Library staff, uphold and enforce the Library-s Code of Conduct policy.
