- This Request for Proposals ("Request for Proposals" or "RFP") is an invitation by Simon Fraser University ("SFU" or the "University") to prospective proponents ("Proponents") to submit proposals ("Proposals") for the provision of Architect/Prime Consultant Services including services of Sub-Consultants for Shrum Science Centre Biology Renewal (the "Project"), as further described in this RFP.Established in 1965, with vibrant campuses in Vancouver, Burnaby and Surrey, SFU has become Canada's leading comprehensive university. With more than 30,000 students, 6,500 faculty and staff, and 130,000 alumni, SFU has matured into one of the world's leading teaching and research universities, consistently ranked among Canada's top comprehensive universities.The Shrum Science Centre Biology (SCB), part of the Shrum Science Centre at SFU, was originally constructed in 1965, and had additions to the building constructed in 1970 and 1980. The building has a gross area of 10,303 square metres over 5 levels.
