Description:
The intent of this RFP is to find a Successful Proponent capable of providing the Work described immediately below. A more detailed description of the Work can be found in Appendix 1 (Information).
The biosolids for the Edmonton Region are produced from the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant (GBWWTP) and the Arrow Facilities, formerly Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Treatment Plant (ACRWC). The biosolids are anaerobically digested sludge from the wastewater treatment processes at GBWWTP and ACRWC. The biosolids are gravity thickened at the Clover Bar Lagoons and dewatered using centrifuges, prior to it being transported for beneficial use application.
The Successful Proponent will be responsible for dewatering a minimum of 7,000 dry tonnes with a possible extension up to 9,000 dry tonnes of biosolids from cell 5 at Clover Bar Lagoons in 2025, dewatering to a minimum 21% total solids, temporary stockpile, loading transport trucks and scale monitoring. There will be an option to extend the Contract to the 2026 season, which at this time is anticipated to require similar quantities for dewatering as the 2025 season. Coordination with the biosolids end use project contractor is required. The location of the Work is the EPCOR Clover Bar Lagoons.
