Description : Established in 1965, SFU has become Canada's leading comprehensive university with vibrant campuses in Vancouver, Burnaby and Surrey. With 30,000 students, 6,500 faculty and staff, and 130,000 alumni, SFU has matured into one of the world-s leading teaching and research universities, consistently ranked among Canada-s top comprehensive universities. The McTaggart Cowan Hall (MCH) Residence renewal project was initiated in 2018 and addresses deferred maintenance requirements as well as mechanical requirements to better address the ventilation and sustainability needs of the residents and SFU. The MCH Residence renewal project consists of two phases: The Phase 1 Roof Replacement Project and the Phase 2 Vertical Envelope Project. The Phase 1 project was completed in 2021.The scope of work defined in this RFP at Phase 2 is comprised of: replacement of the vertical building envelope on all sides of the building; new HRV system installation on roof; new garbage area enclosure; as well as other interior architectural works integrated in the envelope system.
