Description : Brandon University plans to renovate their existing McMaster Hall student residence building at 270 - 18th Street in Brandon, MB. The eleven-story building is approximately 43,500 square feet with an average suite size of 280 square feet. The building was constructed in 1970. The building has a deteriorated end of life plumbing piping concern that has created issues for several years. There are 8 plumbing stacks, 20 rooms associated with each stack, 4 of which have been replaced over the last 6 years with a phased approach. Each plumbing stack renovation included redesign of the showers and washrooms. Brandon University is now in a position to complete the remaining 4 stacks, 80 residence room renovations including in the Scope of Work (SOW) is a full building window retrofit of 202 windows. Mechanical work will include modifications to the existing HVAC system in the ceiling space including supplemental ventilation to meet current building code, and modifications to the existing plumbing and sprinkler systems to suit the new tenant space floor plan.
