Description:
The Town of Antigonish is inviting proposals from qualified design-build contractors to assess, design, and construct a fully code-compliant fire escape and emergency egress system for the Antigonish Town Hall. The successful proponent will be responsible for conducting all required evaluations, proposing viable options, and implementing the chosen solution through full design and construction services. This project arises from an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Audit conducted on January 29, 2025, which identified serious fire egress deficiencies, particularly from the second and third floors of the Town Hall. The Town-s objective is to close these safety gaps through a fully compliant, durable, and professional installation, ideally completed before peak winter conditions. The Town will evaluate all submissions based on their technical merit, experience, methodology, price, and ability to deliver a turnkey solution. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any submission and is not obligated to accept the lowest-price proposal.
