- The Strathcona Regional District is requesting submission of Proposals from qualified vendors to undertake a slope stability and mitigation options analysis of slope adjacent to a 1.1 km portion of Wickaninnish Road between the Gold River Bridge (Village of Gold River) and Tsa'xana (Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation). The slope is located on Crown land, outside the municipal boundaries of Gold River, and has been identified as an area of concern due to ongoing instability. The Strathcona Regional District has received $50,000 in funding has been provided through the Union of BC Municipalities to undertake this project.
