• Detailed_Description : RFI for technology options analysis for Environmental Monitoring & Reporting modernization solutionThe Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks is undertaking a Technology Scan to explore viable solutions for its modernization project. There are currently approximately 30 applications, databases, and datasets related to Environmental Monitoring & Reporting (EMRB) data and many are over 20 years old, not integrated with each other or partner systems and have limited functionality. There is a combination of off-the-shelf, cloud and in-house built solutions.The solution will enable timely scientific advice to support evidence-based decision making across the Ministry-s policy, permissions, approvals, compliance and enforcement, and emergency response programs. This will allow identification and assessment of environmental issues to protect and restoring Ontario-s air, land, and water.EMRB Branch processes include: Design and Planning projects and studies (that may last for weeks or decades); Field Data Collection (e.g. water, soil and air samples); Scientific Data Management (preparation, storage and management of data); Modelling, Analytics, and Interpretation of data; and Data Sharing (cross program along with internal and external partners).The RFI summarizes the results of the Discovery Phase of the project including the business functional & non-functional requirements necessary in the future solution.
  Scope of Work : Respondents are asked to provide information on how they can build and/or configure a solution that delivers the business needs and requirements.The RFI requests the following:Company Profile and Relevant ExperienceDesired Future State - whether respondent can deliver business needs in whole or in partTransition from Current State to Desired Future StateKnowledge Transfer and OnboardingTerm of ContractVendor Performance Management to monitor/measure project progress and SLA targets for Operational SupportDelivery Model Options - flexible whether hosted in-house or SaaS, COTS solution, package of components, etc.Security ConsiderationsPricing Considerations - rough order of magnitude budgetary estimates for Ministry's business caseThe Ministry is undertaking a Technology Scan to support a business case (including funding request) for its modernization project and ongoing operational support & maintenance requirements. Vendor responses will be considered in conjunction with an internal assessment of available in-house common components (e.g. single sign-on, etc.) and Government of Ontario I&IT standards (ex.
