Description:
This Request for Information (the 'RFI') is an invitation by the Province of Nova Scotia (the 'Province') to prospective respondents to submit proposals for the provision of a Special Move Permitting System to the Department of Service Nova Scotia and the Department of Public Works, for the purposes of gathering information about the marketplace in order to assist in the determination of future purchasing options or requirements. This RFI is being conducted pursuant to the Nova Scotia Sustainable Procurement Policy and Procurement Manual. Respondents are asked to respond to the Province and provide the information requested below. The Department of Public Works builds and maintains provincial highways, roads, and bridges to provide a safe and efficient transportation system that helps move people and goods throughout the province. The department is also responsible for road safety initiatives, Registry of Motor Vehicles, provincial highway cameras and road condition updates with the 511 service.The Department of Service Nova Scotia helps citizens, businesses and municipalities access a variety of government programs and services. Since 2003, Service Nova Scotia has been the service delivery channel for application and issuance of a Special Move Permit based on legislation set by the Department of Public Works.
