Description:
The Department of Health and Community Services (HCS) invites Proposals from interested parties to conduct a best practice review of standards of care, staffing and funding models for the Community Care Home (CCH) Program. There are currently nine CCH Owners and Operators. Every effort must be made to interview all nine home owners/operators as part of this report. All CCHs avail of the Recreation Therapy program provided by NLHS Eastern Zone. Representatives from NLHS must be interviewed to inform this report. Finally, while Eastern zone is the only zone in the province to have CCHs, other zones are aware of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness who are living in other supportive living arrangements like personal care homes, etc. To that end, senior leadership representatives from Mental Health and Addictions and Community Support programs within NLHS from across the province must be interviewed to understand models of success and recommendations for improvement.
